Airing on ABC on Wednesday, September 4, ‘The Protégé’ tells the story of a high school teacher who mentors a student who is a budding music producer who falls for a classmate.
Tom Hanks plays a washed-up lawyer who must defend a young, genial CEO (Charlie Cox) accused of insider trading.
As a young adult, I’m often asked to recommend movies for other young adults. It’s great to see the audience I grew up with so interested in cinema, but I can’t help but feel that these movies are not quite good enough for their age. The Protégé is one such movie.
We at Primestargroup are big fans of the BBC series Sherlock. With it’s quirky character, well-rounded cast of actors, fantastic writing, and the mind-bending side effects of addiction to cocaine, this series has given us much to love in the past few years. The BBC has delivered another fantastic series in the form of “The Protégé”, which BBC America has just started airing. The BBC’s Sherlock is the closest thing we have to a modern-day version of the great BBC detectives of old. “The Protégé” is one BBC America viewers can watch in this day and age without missing too much of the BBC original series..
